FEES

Conveyancing

Our standard fee for a conveyancing matter, sale or purchase, is £1195 plus VAT.

Leasehold matters are charged at an additional £400 plus VAT.

Matters involving unregistered land will have an additional charge of £250 plus VAT.

We do not conduct matters involving shared ownership leasehold property.

Each transaction is different and there are a number of factors which could influence a quote. More detail is available on request.

VAT (currently 20%) is added to the above.

An hourly rate of £195 plus VAT is chargeable for additional conveyancing work.

Disbursements

Disbursements vary by transaction.

Land Registry office copies are £14 for a title and plan.

Land Registry copy documents are £7 each.

Stamp Duty Land Tax is payable based on the value of a purchase transaction.

Leasehold sales will usually incur a charge for Leasehold Property Enquiries to be answered by a freeholder or management company.

Leasehold purchases will incur a notice fee to the freeholder or management company.

Search fees will apply on a purchase. Local searches (CON29 & LLC1) are charged at a variable rate by local authorities. Other searches fee indications are available on request.

Probate

Probate work is charged at a rate of £350 plus VAT per hour for work done by a partner and £210 plus VAT for work done by an assistant solicitor or Probate practitioner.

Other work

Other work is charged at rates available on request and an estimate supplied.
